Norweigan Krag Bayonet converted to M1 carbine.

Following the Second World War, Norway converted 30,000 Model 1894 bayonets, that had been made under German occupation, for use with the Selvladekarabin (US M1 Carbine). These bayonets were modified in 1956 at Hærens Våpentekniske Korps (Army Weapons Technical Corps). The USA provided 98,267 M1 and M2 Carbines to Norway between 1950 and 1963 under the Military Assistance Program.
