Heer Infantry Oberleutnant Eugen Heiden's M35 Dress Tunic 

 

 

Large size, high quality, field-grey wool/tricot blend construction M35 dress tunic. Eight button front closure with dual metal hooks and eyes at the lay down, blue/green badge cloth collar. Bright silver embroidered collar tabs on white cloth backing are machine sewn to the collar. To each shoulder is sewn-in shoulder boards with bright silver braid on whit cloth backing. To each board is one gold washed alloy rank pip as well as regimental number "19" pinned in place. White pipe trimmed wool to the lapels, cuffs, collar and skirt. To the left breast we find award loops for three awards. The right breast has an NCO/Officer's machine embroidered breast eagle hand sewn in place. The breast eagle is not original to the tunic, it is restored by us.

 

Inside is fully lined with green/grey rayon and white colored slightly ribbed rayon to the sleeves. To the inside breast pocket is a tailors label machine sewn in place. It reads: "Petersen & Co. München Gabelstrasse 1" The label has the former owners name written to it with black ink. It reads: "Eugen Heiden" and dated October 1939.

 

The tunic is in very good condition with minimal signs of age and use.
