Japanese WWII Second Leutnant\'s Type 3 Service Tunic

Japanese WWII Second Leutnant's Type 3 Service Tunic

Type 3, introduced 1943 Light weight service tunic. Constructed from olive drab coloured cloth. Front closure has five flat buttons to it, each of which are of gold-coloured metal. Dual hooks and eyes at the throat, along with five original collar liner attachment studs. Matching collar tabs to each point denote the rank of Second Leutnant. Two button-down scalloped pocket flaps to the chest and two unbuttoned straight pocket flaps to the hips. To each sleece is a rank star made of golden bullion sewn on round beige cloth. To each sleeve is also rank tresse machine sewn. The interior is partially lined with White cloth. And there is one black ink stamp with Kanji letters located to the White lining above the inner pocket.

The tunic is in very good condition with light signs of age and wear. No buttons missing and all insignias is in our opinion originally attached to it.

Very nice example which would be hard to upgrade!!
