Heer General Herbert Stimmel Collartabs and silver Cigarette cas

Heer General Herbert Stimmel Collartabs and silver Cigarette cas

Heer General Herbert Stimmel Collartabs as well as his namned silver Cigarette case.

More info about Herber Stimmel can be found here, https://www.feldgrau.com/WW2-German-Officer-Herbert-Stimmel among many comands he was the commander of the 279 Infantry Division.

Collar tabs consists of a red wool base with the hand embroidered, Arabesque style, "Larisch" pattern ornamentation in bright golden yellow bullion threads. The Larisch pattern ornamentation consists of two, double pointed, vertical prongs with a decorative, horizontal, arrow head shaped ornamentation at the forward edge and down-swept, flared tail, shaped decoration near the reverse edge. The collar tabs are mounted on a buckram base. The collar tabs shows minor age and usage toning as well as one wear/moth hole at one of them, except that they are in very good used condition, they have been removed from a tunic.

Cigarette case is 9 x 7 cm and is made in silver, it contains a lot of stampings inside (Maker and Silver etc stampings). Case is in well worn condition and is dented more or less all over, it is heavily polished from long time of wear and has Herbert Stimmels name engraved on the front. Stimmel ended up as a Russian PoW and the only things remaining from the war was these two items, the collartabs at home and the case he was wearing all the time in the PoW camp. The case in itself may not have much value, but as being namned and coming with his collartabs it is certainly interesting!

A very nice set of worn Heer General-Leutants  Collartabs and Cigarette Case.
