Heer General's Shoulder Boards

Originally Generals shoulder boards utilized gilt bullion and silver braiding but regulations of July 15th 1938, replaced the gilt bullion braid with golden yellow celleon braid and at a later unknown date the silver braid was replaced with silver/aluminum braid.

Post-July 1938 pattern, sew on shoulder boards consists of silver/aluminum braid flanked by dual golden yellow celleon braids all mounted a red wool base. Two stamped, silver washed rank pips to each board. Minor sewing holes and traces of old thread shows the boards has been sewn to a uniform. Besides that minor signs of age and wear.

Perfect matching pair, very hard to find a finer set!!
