Armored EM/NCO\'s Schutzpolizei Overseas Cap

Armored EM/NCO's Schutzpolizei Overseas Cap

In late 1944 police units were activated as combat units to defend the borders of Germany from the advancing Allied troops and included armored personnel.

Rather high quality black doeskin wool overseas cap with fold down side and back panels with scallops to the front and forward sides. The front center of the cap has a machine woven second pattern (1936-1945) police style national eagle in white threads on a woven black rayon base. The eagle is hand stitched to the cap. Top seams are piped in green wool piping. The interior of the cap is fully lined in ribbed satin. There is a very faint maker and or size stamp marking to the lining. Impossible to read but its there. The cap is roughly size 56. The cap shows signs of real use with moderate color fading to all exposed parts. Inside also shows clear signs of real use with stains from sweat and grease. No damage or mendings!

Very scarce cap missing in many advanced panzer Collections!!
