Iron Cross 1\'st Class 1939 Maker Marked 107

Iron Cross 1'st Class 1939 Maker Marked 107

Hitler re-instituted the Iron Cross series on the 1st September 1939. The first class was awarded for Three to five acts of bravery in combat and already been awarded the Iron Class Second class.

This is a Iron Cross First class 1939 pattern. Three piece Construction with black painted Iron Core and silver washed frames. To the reverse is hing, bottle shaped pin and Catch all intact. The pin is maker marked stamped "107" for "Carl Wild, Hamburg". The cross retains 99% of the original black paint wash and most of the silver finish to the edges and reverse still intact. Overall a very nice maker marked exampel.

Either for the hard core Iron Cross collector or to display on a combat tunic in good condition!!
