Gebirgsjäger Leutnant's M36 Light Weight Field Tunic

Private purchase field-grey, light weight cotton construction tunic with dark-green cloth collar. The tunic features a six button front closure with dual metal hooks and eyes at the neck. The tunic has four pleated front pockets with scalloped button down flaps. Officer collar tab’s with green center stripes are machine sewn in place. Shoulder boards with russian braids on green cloth backing are sewn and buttoned down in place. Above right breast pocket is a NCO/Officer’s flat wire national eagle neatly hand sewn in place. Right sleeve with officer’s Gebeirgsjäger bullion embroidered edelweiss hand sewn in place. Award loops for three awards is sewn to the left breast pocket. Above the same pocket is loops sewn for a 3-4 place medal bar. The interior of the tunic is partially lined in grey/green rayon. Dagger opening with reinforced edges to the left side. The lining has one larger hole located to the left side. There is also an old laundry label hand sewn in place. Shoulder padds still in place, to give this officer a more impressive look.

The tunic is in well worn condition with clear and partially strong signs of age and use all over. No holes, rips or mendings to the obverse. Lining has one hole (see pictures).  All insignias match perfectly in condition and is war time applied.
