Gebirgsjäger Rgt 99 Franz Schmitz Award Document, Document and Photo Album Grouping

Franz Schmitz started his military service as a Gefreiter in the 1’st Gebirgsjäger division, Rgt 99. Company 9 where he served during the war. In the soldbook we find he was wounded several times. The last wound noted was received 7-1-1944 was a shrapnel wound to the head. Franz Schmitz was promoted to Leutnant der Reserve at the end of the war. That’s the last entry in the soldbook.
The grouping consists of following items:
Large photo album, leather imitation cover with a silver colored Heeres national eagle. 64 pictures in total. A lot of hand written text. The pictures shows early military training and family photos. The album is in very good condition with light signs of age and use.
Post card size photo picturing Franz Schmitz with bergmütze, tunic with a sportsbadge. The photo is very clear and is in very good condition.
Award documents: Infantry assault badge, awarded 12.8.1941. Wound badge in black awarded 16.12.1941. Sports badge in bronze document folder, awarded 1939.09.15. Rumanian Medal of Faithful Service third class, awarded 1942.07.16. Rumanian for us un-known award document for a third class medal.
Soldbuch with photo still intact. First entry we can find is from 1941 and the last one from 1.7.1944. No pages missing. Complete with all entrys. Listed awards, Iron Cross Second class 1939 and Wound badge in black. The soldbuch shows clear signs of age and use.
