German Heer / Waffen-SS Small First Aid Field Dressing

15.00

Among the medical equipment and accessories were a wide variety of bandages, wound dressings and basic first-aid items. Each soldier was issued with a large and a small field dressing and given basic instruction on how to properly dress a wound. These field dressing were designed specifically to fit in the field dressing pocket situated in the bottom right front panel of the field blouse.

This example is the smaller of the two and is roughly 8cm long and 5cm wide. Dressing is wrapped in a protective, waterproofed, fabric covering. 1944 dated. In very good condition with some age fading and storage dirt.

Very nice example!!
