Heer Artillery EM's M42 Combat Tunic With KRIM Shield

Field-grey wool construction field blouse with a vertical, six button front closure with a single metal hook and eye positioned at the neckline. The field blouse has four non-pleated front pockets with scalloped edged button down flaps. BEVO EM/NCO’s breast eagle is restored to the tunic (although matching very well). To each shoulder is a nice pair of slip on shoulder straps with red rayon piping for Artillery branch of service. The collar features 1940 pattern general issue field-grey litzen and mouse grey branch of service and center stripes. The collar tabs are machine stitched directly to the collar with no backing material and is period factory applied. The left upper sleeve has a KRIM shield hand sewn in place. The shield match the tunic perfectly in age and wear. Award loops for three awards are sewn to the left breast pocket and loops for a short ribbon bar is sewn above the same breast pocket. Iron Cross Second class ribbon is hand sewn to the second button hole.

The interior of the field blouse is partially lined in silver/grey rayon. The right front tail skirt lining has a field dressing pocket with a single button closure. The lining also has four grey canvas web straps.

The tunic shows clear signs of age and use all over. All nap is more or less completely lost, lining shows some tears to the dressing pocket and arround the button holes. End of cuffs shows the expected heavy wear. Still no larger stains, rips or tears. All in all a heavily used combat tunic with restored breast eagle.

Pretty scarce M42 KRIM combat veteran tunic in a very nice well used condition!!
