Heer Named Pioneer Hauptmann's Combat Tunic with KRIM Shield

Tailor made field-grey, light weight wool cloth tunic with dark-green cloth collar. The tunic features a six button front closure with dual metal hooks and eyes at the neck. The tunic has four pleated front pockets with scalloped button down flaps. Officer collar tab’s, dark-green cloth with black rayon center stripes and silver/aluminum embroidery, machine sewn in place. Sew-in shoulder boards with russian braids on black wool backing. The shoulder boards have each two gilt alloy metal rank pips pinned in place. Above right breast pocket is a Officer’s national eagle in bright silver threads on dark green backing, neatly hand sewn in place. There is award loops sewn to the left chest pocket for three awards and loops sewn above the same pocket for a smaller ribbon bar. To the upper left sleeve is a KRIM shield on field grey backing cloth neatly hand sewn in place.
The tunic is fully lined with green rayon cloth and white pyjama striped rayon cloth in sleeves. Dagger hanger and clip also still present. There is a tailors label machine sewn to the inside neck area. It reads: “Fritz Bickmeier Minden”. A matching tailor / name label is machine sewn to the left inner pocket. The name “Hohmann” is hand written in blue ink (see pictures). The name ends with a “O LT” for Oberleutnant. This Oberleutnant was later promoted to captain as the tunic present itself now. There is also a date written: “25 III 42” for 25th of March 1942.
The tunic shows light signs of age and real use. All insignias match perfectly in condition and are original to the tunic. No holes, rips, mendings or larger stains.
