Heer Officer´s M43 Field Cap

Very interesting private purchased cap for an officer. Constructed of field-grey captured Italian gabardine cloth. Neatly hans sewn to front of the cap is a visor cap bullion officers eagle and metal cockade. Also to front, two silver colored pebbled metal buttons. Top crown with officer’s silver/aluminum braiding. Lining is standard silver/grey rayon cloth. Lining has a clear size stamp “55” in black ink. Inside rayon lining show signs of real use with light stains from wear.

Cap is in good, well still used condition. The pebbled metal buttons has some surface rust. The eagle which has been more exposed compared to the cockade shows light oxidation. Outside cap also show dirt to the cloth which is hard to catch on the pictures, the cap have a nice well worn feeling. Correct construction in every aspect with inner reinforcement etc, etc, etc. Cap have a nice shape as well.
