The Naval Artillery War Badge or War Badge for the Coastal Artillery was instituted on 24 June 1941 by Grand Admiral Erich Raeder to reward the actions of both individuals and crew members. It was also awarded to coastal artillery cew members killed in action.
Late war badge constructed of Zinc with a gold and grey paint wash. The paint is now just barely visable. The badge is complete with crimped in hinge, catch and pin. The badge shows signs of age and have almost lost all of its original paint.
It will be difficult to find a similar item at a better price!!
