Räumbootsflottille 2 Large Photoalbum, With Rare Pictures of Günther Prien

Large photoalbum with over 300 pictures, all photos are pinned in place with photo corners and is removable (possible to find interest text to the reverse, we have not had time to check). The front cover is very decorative with a Kriegsmarine officers eagle pinned in place with its original fastening pin. The eagle is removable and is in very good condition. There is also a cap tally for “2 Räumbootsflottille” (2 mine sweeper flotilla). There is some very nice and large photos as well as plenty of pictures from a “soldiers every day life”. There is also one serie of photos picturing the famous U-boat ace Günther Prien’s triumphant return home in Juli 1940. Wartime pictures from Prien are very rare to find and highly desirable, since his u-boat failed to return home 1941. Prien was declared dead (fallen in action) 7 of Mars 1941.
