Unterofizzier Hans-Joachim KUBA Medal, Document and Photo Grouping

Interesting grouping for Hans-Joachim KUBA veteran of both AFRIKA campaign and Eastern front. Kuba first served with Artillery Rgt 75 from 1940. In March 1941, his battalion was subordinated to Afrika and the 5th. Leichte Division. During the period in Afrika, Kuba fought with the division against the British, for example at the battle of Derna and Tobruk. 2’April 1941 Kuba was severely wounded by a shot in the stomach, most probably in the battle of Ajdabiya. After this Kuba was evacuated from Afrika back to a hosiptal in Germany, Augsburg. In October 1941 he was promoted to Gefreiter and send to his final unit Heeres Küsten Art Abt 708. With that unit he took part in the fighting northern part of the eastern front.
The grouping consists of following items:
Standard issue AFRIKA cuff title, full lenth 47,5cm. Slightly worn condition with some stains.
Iron cross second class 1939, Iron core. In good condition with some paint loss. Maker marked to the suspension ring, but hard to read.
East front medal in good condition with some age darkening.
Wound badge in black 1939. Constructed of non ferrous metal. Signs of age and real use.
2-place ribbon bar, Iron Cross second class and East front medal.
M44 shoulder straps, unit number cyphers “708” pinned in place. And rank tresse looks field applied. In good still used condition.
AFRIKA campaign, cuff award document. Awarded to Obergefreiter KUBA. Awarded 2, 9, 1943 and sign by a Captain.
Iron Cross Second Class award document. Awarded to Gefreiter KUBA. Awarded 21 Mars, 1943. Signed by General Kleffel (Knights cross holder).
Wound badge in black award document. Awarded for his wound received in Afrika, 2 April 1941. Signed by a doctor.
East Front Medal award document. Awarded 20 July, 1942, signed by a captain.
The grouping also includes 9 war time pictures from KUBA’s service in AFRIKA and at the eastern front. A couple of pre, war and post WWII documents among others stating his service record.
