Waffen SS Field-grey EM/NCO M43 cap

Mid to late war Italian manufactured Waffen-SS M43 cap for EM/NCO, constructed of coarse Italian Combat cloth. The same type of cloth was also used as captured material at the Kz camps (SS-BW – Bet. Ra) producing both M43 cap’s as well as tunics. On the inside of the cap you find Italian tan HBT-lining material which is stamped in black ink with the Italian maker “BERVEN, Padova” and size “57”.
The cap has the BEVO skull and eagle trapezoid in field grey trapezoid on a dark green rayon base, hand sewn to the cap. The trapeziod has a rather crude mending which is about 3cm long. The cap also has two unpainted dish buttons at front.
The cap is in good still little used condition showingage fading and dirt to all exposed parts. Inside shows light signs of age and use.
