WW2 Japanese "Going to War" Banner for an Army Recruit

175.00

The banner measures 42cm x 143cm, including the 15cm long fringe. It is made of silk and attached to a horizontal metal and wood bar.
Though slightly age-toned, it is totally intact and displayable. The kanji reads: “Going-to-War Celebration for
Mr. Tetsutaro Hamanaka from Sadakichi Toritani, Tokyo and Yoshihiko Sumino from Tokyo” (祝 出征 濱中徹太郎君 東京
鳥谷定吉 東京 住野嘉彦). The design of the banner is most typical of its kind.

A beautiful example that looks great on display!!
