WW2 Japanese Named and Unit Marked Army Artillery Commander’s Map Case 

A medium to small size map case commonly seen used by an officer in command. There are numerous small scuffs and scratches but without any serious damage.  It’s complete and is fully serviceable. The leather is pliable and looks fine. It should still look better by treatment. There is a handwriting on the front under the leather flap, which goes: (“Field Gun 26” – 26, “Tokura”). It probably means that “Field Gun No.26, commanded by Tokura”

A named map case is very desirable and scarce.  A piece of real cool field equipment!!
