WWII USAAF Officers "Crusher" Style Visor Cap

An olive drab wool top with a brown leather visor, brown leather chin strap and brass buttons. Army officer’s cap badge with a fire gilt finish. The brown leather sweatband stitching is partially pulling away in two sections, but it is still rather firmly in place. The sweat shield is removed. Inside golden/yellow satin cloth. Clearly maker marked “The Berkshire” “U.S. Army Officer’s cap”. The cap shows light wear. The wire is completely removed from the crown for the true “crusher” style. Size is rather large about “58”.
