US WWII Shoulder Carrying Bag MIVA1, for M2A2 Gas Mask

WWII canvas MIVA1 carrying bag for M2A2 service gas mask. Complete with all straps. In very good condition with light signs of age. This type was worn by Army soldiers and Marines during the 1943 campaigns (North Africa, Sicily, Italy, Tarawa, Bougainville)

 

The bad comes with a cover, Protective, Individual, US Army, 1st type, 1944. US Army anti-vesicant cover. After unfolding, this cover protected the soldier, along with his weapon and equipment. It was also convenient as an overhead cover in a foxhole or to line its bottom, covers were also used as shrouds in temporary cemeteries. Of note: On D-Day, every GI carried two covers with his gas mask. This is example is complete with clear signs of age.
