Unit Marked Heer Artillery Leutnant's M36 Field Tunic
€2,795.00
Early field-grey wool tunic with issued dark-green cloth collar. The tunic features a five button front closure with a singel metal hook and eye at the neck. The tunic has four pleated front pockets with scalloped button down flaps. Officer collar tab’s, dark-green cloth with Red rayon center stripes and silver/aluminum embroidery, machine sewn in place. Slip-on shoulder straps with russian braid on red wool backing. Above right breast pocket is a EM/NCO’s national eagle in white threads on dark green rayon backing. The eagle is neatly hand sewn in place (correct for a early tunic like this!). There is a award loop sewn to the left chest pocket.
The tunic is lined with brushed mouse-grey cotton. Medic pouch still intact and the tunic was never shortened, although sewn in at the back, just a couple centimeters for a better look. The lining is clearly size stamped in black ink. Just below the size stamps is a unit stamp which reads: “11. E/A.R 19 I”. The medic pocket is stamped with manufacturer’s company name “W. Lenz”. There is also a depot stamp “E 38”.
The tunic shows minor signs of age and real use. There is a moth bite hole, aprrox 0,5 x o,5cm and one pinhead sized moth hole. The tunic shows also shows some minor moth tracking. The national eagle shows some chafe wear. Insignias match the tunic perfectly and is original to the tunic. Most would describe this tunic as mint, which it is not. But the tunic is in VERY good condition and it will be hard to find another one in the same or better condition.
Desirable M36 issue tunic which also is unit marked and in very good condition!!
