Luftwaffe Pilot Badge by Assmann

The pilot badge was instituted on August 12th,1935 by order of Reichsmarchall Hermann Göring.

Luftwaffe pilot badge by F.W. Assmann, Lüdenscheid, maker marked on the reverse of the eagle with the logo for Assmann. Produced in alloy metal with hints of the original paint still intact. The badge is a bit out of shape with the eagle bent inwards a couple of millimeters. Besides that a nice and complete badge with a heavy age patina.

Cool looking badge which for sure has seen some action!!
