Waffen-SS EM/NCO's M40 Side Cap 

Field-grey wool construction M40 overseas cap with fold down side and back panels that slope gently downwards to the front center. National eagle and totenkopf insignias was hand sewn in place but removed leaving clear “ghost” marks. The interior of the cap is fully lined in grey drill cotton. The cap was skillfully wartime reinforced / repaired with a piece of silver/grey rayon cloth running along the edges, see pictures. The cap is in well used condition with clear signs of both age and real use. There is also a couple of moth/wear holes, see pictures!.
