Heer Panzer Gefreiter's Issue M41 Field Tunic with Krim Shield

Field-grey wool tunic, five button front closure with a singel metal hook and eye at the neck. The tunic has four pleated front pockets with scalloped button down flaps. Heer general issue collar tab’s, dark-green cloth with bottle green center stripes, period machine sewn in place. Slip-on shoulder straps, not a matching pair, one with rayon pink piping and the other one with wool. However they was for sure used as a pair with similar signs of age and use. The straps are constructed of bottle green wool. Above right breast pocket is a EM/NCO’s national eagle in grey threads on dark green rayon backing. The eagle is machine sewn, top edge then folded down and rest is hand sewn (correct way of application). To the upper left sleeve is a gefreiters rank chevron and a KRIM shield neatly hand sewn in place. To the left chest pocket is loops sewn for two awards and above the pocket is loops sewn for a 2-3 place ribbon bar. The tunic is lined with with mouse grey, brushed cotton cloth. The lining is size stamped in black ink. As well as stamped “41” for year of prodcution. The intact medic pocket is maker marked stamped.
The tunic shows clear signs of real use with all napwear worn and washed of. The buttons are mostly replaced, although now matching (most likely war-time replaced). The tunic also comes with a inner protective collar.
For the collector who truly appreciate an un-touched and well used combat tunic!!
