Heer Panzerjäger Oberfeldwebel's M36 Field Tunic

Field-grey wool tunic with bottle-green cloth collar. The tunic features a five button front closure with a singel metal hook and eye at the neck. The tunic has four pleated front pockets with scalloped button down flaps. Heer,early panzer issue collar tab’s, dark-green cloth with pink center stripes, period machine sewn in place. Slip-on shoulder straps constructed of bottle green wool with bright silver/aluminum tresse and pink wool piping. Pinned in place to each strap is two silver painted alloy rank pips as well as a “P” for panzerjäger. Above right breast pocket is a EM/NCO’s national eagle in white threads on dark green rayon backing. The eagle is hand sewn in place (correct way of application for a tunic manufactured 1938). To and below the left chest pocket is loops sewn for two awards and above the pocket is loops sewn for a ribbon bar.
The tunic is lined with with mouse grey, brushed cotton cloth. The lining is clearly size stamped in black ink. As well as stamped “H 38” for “Hamburg 1938”. The lining also is stamped with a museum inventory number to the neck as well as one more blacked-out stamp.
The tunic shows light signs of age and real use. There is one small moth /wear hole, see picture. The back has been sewn-in a couple of centimeters for a better fit. All insignias match perfect in condition and are original to the tunic.
Scarce and desirable, early panzerjäger Oberfeldwebel’s M36 tunic!!
