Wound Badge in Black 1939, Maker Marked 4

Mid – late war example constructed of die struck ferrous metal. Black grade, awarded for 1 or 2 wounds in wartime. All of the original black paint finish is still present on the front and back. The reverse has its original hardware setup, fully intact and functional. There is a small number “4” in high relief to the reverse for “Steinhauer & Lück, Lüdenscheid”. It’s very hard to make a clear photo of the small maker mark, but it’s there.
