Waffen-SS Black Panzer EM/NCO M43 Cap

The cap is produzed of typical Waffen-SS rather low quality black wool. Cap features fold down back and side panels with two pebbled black paint washed, metal button front closure. The back and side panels were designed to be folded down to protect the wearers ears and neck and the scalloped front section could be secured with the buttons closed under the wearers chin. BEVO silver/grey eagle/deathshead trapezoid machine sewn to front of cap. Cap has silver/grey rayon lining with the factory code number “892” as well as a size stamp “57”, both in black ink.  The cap shows signs of real use with some age fading and dirt. Minor wear spots to the lining. No holes, rips tears or mendings.
