Saxony EM/NCO’s WWI Belt Buckle Maker Marked and Dated 1914

Constructed of gilded and silvered brass, the obverse bearing a central raised crown, within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “Providentiae Memor” (Mindful of Providence). To the reverse is its raised buckle catch, and a metal prong bar with dual prongs all intact. Reverse is clearly maker marked “H. Aurich Dresen” and also dated “1914”. The buckle is in very good condition with only light signs of age and use.
