British WWI Distinguished Conduct In The Field Medal

795.00

The Distinguished Conduct Medal was created in 1854 and awarded to non-commissioned officers and other ranks of the Army for distinguished conduct in action in the field. The medal was discontinued in 1993. The medal was the second highest award graded below the Victoria Cross.

A rare and attractive WWI period example of the DCM. Engraved on rim: “SPECIMEN (K/4396)”. The medal shows signs of age with a nice age patina and light surface wear. Complete with original ribbon.

Very rare medal in good condition!!
