Coastal Artillery EM/NCO's Side Cap

The cap isconstructed of field-grey wool with fold down side and back panels. The front center of the cap has a machine woven EM/NCO’s national eagle in golden yellow threads on a cut-out dark green rayon base. The eagel is neatly hand sewn in place. The front center of the fold down panels has a machine woven national tri-color cockade on dark green rayon base, machine sewn in place. Both pieces of insignia are original to the cap. A golden yellow soutache is machine sewn in place as well as inserted to two small holes located at the bottom edge.

The interior of the cap is fully lined in dark blue drill cotton cloth. The lining is stamped with white ink: manufacturers name and size “56”. Size mark is easy to read but the rest is very faint. The cap is is very good, used condition. No holes, rips or mendings just signs of honest use.
