Gebirgsjäger EM's M36 Issue Field Tunic

1,995.00

Field-grey wool construction field blouse. Five button front closure with a single metal hook and eye positioned at the neckline. The field tunic has four pleated patch front pockets with scalloped button down flaps. Bottle green badge cloth lay down collar with machine sewn general issue collar tabs as introduced 1938. Above the right breast pocket is a EM/NCO’s BEVO manufactured breast eagle machine sewn in place with heavy zig-zag stitches. The upper part of the eagle was neatly hand sewn. This is a typical, early war period way of sewing national eagles. With other words, period factory sewn breast eagle. To the upper right sleeve is a EM/NCO’s Edelweiss insignia, neatly hand sewn in place. The the shoulders is slip on shoulder straps pinned and buttoned in place. The shoulder straps are early second pattern with dark green cloth and green rayon branch color piping. To the left chest is period sewn loops for two awards and above the pocket is loops sewn for a singel medal ribbon.

Inside is fully lined with mouse-grey brushed cotton. Inside right inner lapel with clear size stamp in black ink and year of production “39” for 1939. All four belt hook’s still in place as well as internal “anti-slide” hooks.

The tunic shows clear and heavy signs of use. Most nap is all gone, inside with sweat stains. Wear to all exposed parts especially to the collar line and end of cuffs as we like to see from a period used tunic. All insignias match the tunic perfectly in condition and is period sewn in place. No rips, holes or mendings.

Fantastic and sledom seen heavy used Gebirgsjäger EM’s M36 combat tunic. Very hard to find a tunic like this on todays market!!
