Heer 3'rd Pattern GrossDeutschland Cufftitle

1,095.00

On June 20th 1939 special uniforms and insignia were introduced for all Großdeutschland personnel including the distinctive cufftitle and shoulder board/strap cyphers. Originally introduced for wear by all ranks, the Großdeutschland cufftitle was produced in at least four variant patterns during the war with minor modifications. Third pattern was introduced on October 7th 1940. In mid-1944 the third pattern was altered to machine embroidered Sütterlin style script in silver/grey cotton threads.

Early 3’rd Pattern “GrossDeutschland” cufftitle in Sütterlin script “Großdeutschland” hand stitch in nice thick, rounded, silver aluminum thread. With Russian braid made of aliminum to the top and bottom. Fold over with open center to the reverse, visable is the trimmed black cotton backing material. The cufftitle is in very good condition with light signs of age and use. Total length is approx 38.5cm.

Super nice 3’rd pattern Grossdeutschland cufftitle!!
