Heer Cavalry Hauptmann's M35/36 Field Tunic

High quality, field-grey wool construction tunic. The tunic features a eight button front closure with dual metal hooks and eyes at the neck. The tunic features two pleated patch breast pockets and two pleated patch hip pockets. The tunic has a lay down dark green badge cloth collar. To the shoulders are sewn in shoulder boards, sewn and buttoned in place. The boards are constructed of golden yellow wool with dull russian braid. Two gilt rank alloy pips are pinned in place to each. To the collar are cavalry officer’s collar tabs machine sewn in place. Above the right breast pocket is a Heer officer’s national eagle in bullion on dark green backing cloth neatly hand sewn in place. To the left chest pocket is loops sewn for two awards. The interior of the tunic is fully lined in green/grey rayon with striped rayon in sleeves. The buttons are all the pebbled with a field grey paint. Insignias and buttons are period sewn to the tunic. The tunic is in good, still used condition with light signs of age and use. There is one pin-head sized hole, no mendings or stains.
