Heer Cavalry Officer's Visor Cap, Erel

Early war produced officer’s visor cap, constructed of field-grey doeskin wool with golden yellow, trimmed wool piping. Pinned in place to the front is a alloy metal national eagle and alloy metal wreath/cockade. Also in front and buttoned in place to the sides is as a officer´s heavy chincord. Inside cap is lined with golden yellow rayon. Cap has lost it’s sweat shield. The cap is maker marked “Erel”, now only barely visable because of stains from use. Original tan colored leather sweatband all intact with one tear. The initials “E.T” are hand written with a led pen.

Cap has a very nice shape and is in good still well used condition. Crown shows some moth tracking and inside with clear sweat / use stains. No holes, rips or mendings. Size is about 56.

Used cap in still great shape it’s also a desirable high quality, early Erel!!
