Heer EM/NCO's M43 Field Cap

Field-grey wool construction cap features fold down back and side panels with two pebbled metal button front closure. The back and side panels were designed to be folded down to protect the wearers ears and neck and the scalloped front section could be secured with the buttons closed under the wearers chin. The front center of the cap has a machine woven m43 style national eagle machine sewn in place. The cap has an extended, cloth covered, forward visor with an internal stiffener with a subtly raised lip to the top of the forward edge and a single row of reinforcement stitching to the bottom of the forward edge. The interior of the cap is fully lined in mouse grey brushed cotton. The lining has a very faint size stamp and even harder to read rbnr stamp. Cap is about size 56.

Cap is in medium worn condition. It have slight chafe wear all over but mainly at highlighted positions. Outside cap also show dirt to the cloth which is hard to catch on the pictures. There is one small hole located to the visor, exposing the internal cardboard stiffener.
