Heer EM/NCO's M43 Field Cap

Field-grey wool construction cap features fold down back and side panels with two pebbled metal button front closure. The back and side panels were designed to be folded down to protect the wearers ears and neck and the scalloped front section could be secured with the buttons closed under the wearers chin. The front center of the cap has a machine woven m43 style national eagle machine sewn in place. The cap has an extended, cloth covered, forward visor with an internal stiffener. The interior of the cap is fully lined in mouse grey brushed cotton. The lining has a faint rfnr stamp and a clear size stamp “60”. The cap is also marked “1944” (year of production). Cap is in good, little used condition. No holes, mendings or larer stains.
