Heer Infantry Officer's Visor Cap, Erel issue

Issu EM/Nco issue visor war time upgraded to Officer. Constructed of field-grey tricot cloth with a dark green badge cloth centerband and trimmed white wool branch color piping to the crown edge and both the top and bottom edges of the centerband. The front center of the cap features a high quality, early pattern, hand embroidered national eagle with short, wings in bright, silver/aluminum and bullion wire threads on a dark green cloth base. The front center of the centerband has a hand embroidered, oak-leaf wreath and cockade in bright, silver/aluminum wire threads. Both the eagle and wreath are neatly handsewn to the cap. The cap has a twisted silver/aluminum chin cord which is secured in place by two small, silver washed, buttons. The cap has a black lacquered vulcanfibre visor. Inside is lined with orange/brown cotton (indicating early production) drill cloth. Brown leather sweatband is also complete withour rips, tears or mendings. Sweatband is nicely stamped with manufacturers name “Robert Lubstein” (Erel), Berlin 1939″. Sweat shield diamond is missing and lining is size stamped “58” in black ink.

The cap is in very good but still used condition. The cap has one hole located to the top of the cap nothing destractig at all, just from wear, see pictures. Besides that just light signs of even use.

Desirable untouched, early Erel produced issue cap which was war time upgraded to officer!!
