Heer Jäger/Gebirgsjäger Officer Upgraded Issue M34 Overseas Cap

This example has been period upgraded from a EM/NCO example by the addition of hand applied officers cockade and officer silver cord to the crown and the forward scalloped side panels. Early issue national eagle in grey threads on beige rayon backing is neatly hand stitched to the front. Jäger/Gbj green soutache is hand sewn in place as well as inserted to two small puncture holes (correct way of application). To each side is a tan painted ventilation grommet. Inside is lined in standard brushed mouse grey cotton. Ínside is well marked with a manufacturers name and location, year of production “1937” and size “56”. The cap shows clear signs of age and real use. No holes, rips or mendings.
