Heer Panzer Oberfeldwebel's Panzer Wrap Tunic

4,895.00

Second pattern wrapper constructed of black wool. Waist length, double breasted style tunic with fold back lapels and a large lay down collar. The right front closure panel has four large buttons and three smaller buttons all intact. The tunic has a single metal hook and eye positioned at the forward neckline. The right breast has an M39 pattern machine woven national breast eagle in silver/grey rayon threads on a woven, black, rayon base. The eagle is hand sewn to the tunic. The tunic has black wool construction shoulder straps with pink wool branch color piping. The collar features the elongated black wool construction collar tabs with the silver washed stamped alloy Danziger style Totenkopf cyphers and pink wool branch color piping to the edges. The collar tabs are machine stitched to the collar. To the lower left sleeve is a drivers profiency badge in bronze or gold on black cloth backing neatly hand sewn in place.

The interior breast panels are lined in drill mouse grey brushed cotton which still has faint size, maker and year markings. The lining has a patch pocket to the right breast panel and a slash pocket to the left breast panel. The lining also has the belt support straps with six stitched eyelets to each, positioned to each side at the waistline. The interior also has both fit adjustment tie strings still intact. The upper left breast panel is marked with very faint black size ink stamps.

There is very faint white paint to the back of the tunic. Possibly / likely PW for “Prisoner of War”. We have seen this a couple of time before. The insignias has been sewn in correct way with correct thread and we find no evidence the tunic has been restored. Still with the faint markings to the back, we have to assume this tunic has been profesionally restored. The tunic shows clear signs of real use. The nap is missing to all exposed parts, there is a couple of minor wear / moth holes (see pictures). Inside shows stains from sweat and soiling. All in all a well used panzer wrapper which displays very well. The tunic is also in a large size.

Don’t miss out on this combat used panzer wrapper!!
