Heer Pioneer EM/NCO's M34 Overseas Cap

695.00

The cap is produced from field grey uniform cloth. Hand sewn to the front is a BEVO field grey national eagle and to the turn-up is a national cockade hand sewn in place. Also to the turn-up is a period machine sewn black rayon soutache denoting service in pioneer branch of service. At each side is a ventilation grommet with a field-grey colored enamled paint. Inside with correct crimping.

Mouse-grey brushed cotton lining with clear manufacturers stamp which reads: “CLEMENS WAGNER, BRAUNSCHWEIG.” Also month and year of production also stamped: “JUL 40”. The size is stamped just below the maker stamp “61”, huge size which is really hard to find! Interesting, inside with a rather hard cap stiffener which we only so far has found on caps produced by Clemens Wagner..

The cap shows only minor signs of real use with slight color fading from sweat, grease and hair products. Outside has one moth hole which is about 6mm. There is also some faint red stains to the right side of the cap.

Textbook early war produced example which also is complete with soutache and is in a huge size!!
