€1,995.00
Tailor made model M36, field-grey captured Italian cloth construction field tunic. The tunic has a six button front closure, a bottle green collar with a singel metal hook and eye positioned at the forward neckline. The tunic has two, pleated, patch, breast pockets and two, pleated hip pockets. All pockets with scalloped edged, button down flaps. The right breast has a Officer’s national eagle in silver bullion threads. The eagle is neatly hand sewn to the tunic. The tunic has sewn-in shoulder boards with black wool base with dull grey silver/aluminum russian braid. A ghotic “E” for railroad engineer unit and one gilt rank pip, all pinned in place to each board. Machine sewn to the collar is a pair of pioneer officer’s collar tabs. To the left chest is award loops sewn for two awards. Above the same pocket is loops sewn for a 3-4 place ribbon bar. Interior is fully lined in silver/grey rayon and sleeves are also striped with silver/grey rayon.
The tunic is a mid – late war production as easily seen from the captured Italian cloth. The tunic is in very good condition with no holes, rips, tears or mendings. Only subtle signs of real use.
Very hard to find a railroad engineer tunic and even more so, to find one in this superb condition!!
