Heer / Waffen-SS M42 Field Tunic With Nordland Cufftitle
17,227.93 kr
Field-grey wool construction field blouse features a six button front closure with a single metal hook and eye at the neckline. The tunic has four none-pleated patch, front pockets with scalloped edged button down flaps (m42). The collar shows old stitch holes and threads from both Heer EM/NCO’s collar tabs and Waffen-SS collar tabs. Over the right breast is a shadow from a Heer national eagle. The left sleeve shows clear shadows from a Waffen-SS sleeve eagle. Crudely hand sewn in place is a Nordland, BeVo cufftitle. The cufftitle shows several tears, see pictures. The interior of the field blouse is lined in silver/grey rayon cloth. The right front tail skirt lining has the original field dressing pocket.
The tunic shows heavy nap wear, age and usage toning through-out. The Nordland cufftitle was later added (restored to the tunic in our opinion). Still interesting to see the clear shadow of a W-SS sleeve eagle as well as a faint Heer eagle. The tunic was most likely issued to a Heer soldier, re-issued and used by a W-SS soldier.
Interesting restoration project!!
