Heer / Waffen-SS Small Field Dressing 

Each soldier was issued with a large and a small field dressing and given basic instruction on how to properly dress a wound. These field dressing were designed specifically to fit in the field dressing pocket situated in the bottom right front panel of the field blouse.

This example is the smaller of the two and is roughly 8cm long, 3.5cm wide and 2 cm thick. Dressing is wrapped in a protective, waterproofed, fabric covering with original string. Print on the wrapping is still clear. Manufactured 1944.
