K98 Rifle, M34 Cleaning Kit

When issued the K98 came accompanied with assorted accessory items including a sling, a cleaning rod, a protective muzzle cover and a M34 cleaning kit. The M34 cleaning kit was introduced in 1934 and was utilized with all bolt action rifles.

Stamped magnetic sheet metal case with 95% of the original field grey paint still intact. The case has hinged lids to both the top and bottom edges hinged, closure clips to the obverse. The case has a small internal compartment to the bottom and a larger internal compartment to the top. The kit contains an metal oiler, two brushes, takedown tool and chain. Maker marked and stamped with Waffenampt eagle. All parts is in good condition and shows expected signs of age and use.
