Kriegsmarine high sea fleet badge by Bacqueville, Paris

The Bacqueville theme has been discussed plenty of times. It’s unknown whether any of these badges were ever awarded but it is known that American GI’s returned home with these badges after the war. If this example was made during the war or just after, we dont know.

Zink construction with badge with a gilt finish. Reverse with intact hinge, pin and catch. An anti – sliding hook is also inplace to the top of the badge. Unmarked, typical French Bacqueville production. In very good condition.
