Luftwaffe Flight/Paratrooper's Leutnant's Service Tunic

1,695.00

Highest quality, private purchase 1935 pattern “Tuckrock”. Luftwaffe blue/grey tricot construction tunic. Four button front closure with small fold back lapels and a lay down collar. The tunic has four pleated front pockets with straight button down flaps. The right breast has a very nice, hand embroidered Luftwaffe Officer’s national eagle in bullion threads on a cut-out Luftwaffe blue/grey wool base. The eagle is neatly handstitched to the tunic. Sleeves have deep French cuffs. The tunic has sewn on shoulder straps in yellow wool with bright russian braid. The forward edge of the lay down collar has bright silver/aluminum Officers cord. The collar has yellow wool collar tabs with one rank “gull” and oakleaf in silver bullion threads. Award loops for two awards and loops for a short ribbon bar. Interesting to see, all medal loops are sewn with different threads which means the tunic had the award loops sewn in different point of time.

The interior of the tunic is fully lined in grey rayon and white / striped rayon cloth in sleeves. The lining has a slash pocket to the left breast panel. Original tailor label from Berlin still in place. Dagger hanger also still present. The tunic is as said in high quality and is in a superb lightly used condition with light signs of age. No holes, rips or mendings.

Untouched high quality tunic in super nice condition, close to impossible to find a better example!!
