Luftwaffe General's Side Cap

High quality private purchase, Luftwaffe blue fine wool cloth body with golden/brown rayon lining. To the front is a Luftwaffe highest quality, hand embroidered second pattern Luftwaffe eagle in gilt bullion wire with golden/tan accent threads on a cut-out Luftwaffe blue/grey wool base, neatly hand sewn in place. On front of fold-down is a Luftwaffe generals’s tri-color cockade in bullion, also neatly hand sewn in place. Officers gilt bullion litz all arround side flaps. Inside with intact partial leather sweatband.

Cap is in slightly used condition and show age darkening to exposed parts as well as light wear from use. Inside cap shows light wear with fading of lining. Insignias match perfectly to the cap and was war time applied.
