Panzer Assault Badge in Silver Maker Marked Hermann Aurich, Dresden

The Panzer Assault Badge in silver was instituted by Generaloberst Walther von Brauchitsch on December 20th 1939 for award to all ranks of tank personnel who served as a tank commander, driver, gunner or radio operator and had been involved in three different armored assaults on three different days.

This is a panzer assault badge in silver, late war zinc PAB with galvanized silver finish. Complete with original hinge, pin and catch assembly. The reverse of the badge is well marked with the stylized, manufacturer’s initials, “AH”, indicating manufacture by Hermann Aurich of Dresden. In unworn condition with virtually all bright silver paint finish still intact.

Left-over stock HA badge with a finish type that holds very well over time!!
