SS-Polizei Hauptmann's M36 Field Tunic

Private purchased tailor made tunic constructed of field-grey tricot cloth. 6 button front closure with four pleated front pockets with scalloped button down flaps. Bottle green collar with officer aluminum collar tabs on police green cloth backing, machine sewn in place. Sewn-in shoulder boards with bright russian braid and two gilt metal rank pips on police green backing. Award loops for one award to the left chest pocket and below the pocket is “SS” runics in bullion threads on police green cloth hand sewn in place. To the left upper sleeve is a police national eagle in silver bullion threads and eye and swastika in black cotton threads, all on police green cloth. The national eagle is neatly hand sewn in place. Inside is fully lined in red/brown rayon and white striped satin cloth in sleeves. Inside with dagger/sword opening and a tailor label sewn to the neck. The label shows heavy fraying from use, making the tailors name hard to read. But clearly seen is it was manufactured in Berlin. The tunics shows clear signs of age and use, especially to the inside. Outside is clean with just a couple of wear marks.

Really nice SS-police tunic in good still well used condition!!
